I recently had the privilege of sharing my testimony at the Bowery Mission in NY. It was not an experience I will soon forget.
The Bowery Mission is a rescue mission in Manhattan's Bowery that was started in 1879 by Albert Gleason Ruliffson. It was the third rescue mission established in the United States. The Bowery Mission offers community-based services to residents in the neighborhood of Lower East Side of Manhattan through its Outreach Program.
The Bowery Mission provides daily compassionate care to the homeless and needy.
Three meals served daily, shower program three times a week, free medical attention onsite, 84,000 articles of clothing distributed and 77,000 nights of emergency shelter provided. For more information go to www.bowery.org
